On Friday, January 25, on the day of the 75th anniversary of the Russian poet and musician Vladimir Vysotsky, the leader of the Yabloko party and State Duma deputy Sergei Mitrokhin suggested that a street be named after him.
Mitrokhin proposes renaming Leninsky Prospect in Moscow and giving him the name Vysotsky Avenue. According to the politician, the poet deserved to be called the streets in his honor. However, Leninsky Prospekt Mitrokhin took for example only. A new name can be obtained by any other street in the capital. About this he wrote today in his blog.
“On the day of the anniversary of Vladimir Vysotsky, I propose to name one of the Moscow avenues in his honor,” Mitrokhin wrote in the LJ.
