A friend of the departed Dmitry Khvorostovsky, poetess Lilia Vinogradova, said that the artist dreamed of singing on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater after reconstruction.
However, the leadership of the theater did not invite a world-famous star to its stage, Vinogradova was indignant. She stressed that this is a manifestation of disregard for the then fatally ill famous artist from the leaders of the Bolshoi.
Lilia also noted that Khvorostovsky did not give up his life's work to the last - he was engaged in singing at home and gave concerts as long as he had the strength. However, according to a number of media reports, before the death, the legend of the opera lost its voice.
